"This And That"
These stack boxes suggest to me that
These stack boxes suggest to me that
there are many ideas to explore.
A little of this and a little of that.
The boxes were given to me as a special gift
by my daughter, Melinda.
I often gaze at the boxes, which are situated under a folding table in our dinning room and ponder the possibility of topics I could explore on this blog.
For this entry I wish to give you THIS recipe of Brussels Sprouts.
Now Brussels Sprouts are not what I would call a favorite. However, I am doing my best to eat more plant based foods and a package of green, healthy Brussels Sprouts caught my eye in the vegetable section of the grocery store.
How to cook them to be a tasty dish was the question.
I contacted my sister-in-law, June, to come to my rescue.
She gracefully provided direction of how she cooked the vegetables.
Cut a deep cross in the bottom of each Sprout to help the bottom to cook faster. Then put them in cold water and bring them to a boil with some salt. Boil them until a fork can pierce them. About 10-15 minutes. You can also steam them. If you overcook them, they are terrible. Serve them with a little butter and enjoy.
Try them, I dare you!
Next I will post Jeannie's Meatloaf THAT is super easy, delicious, and very
desirable as a main dish to any meal.
Use one pound hamburger
One small can evaporated can milk
One package dry onion soup mix
Mix together.
Bake at 350 degrees for one hour and 15 minutes
Serve with chili sauce
Baked or scalloped potatoes
Three different colored vegetables
Until the next post enjoy life and try a new dish for enjoyment.
