New Year 2015

This blog is about the celebration of the New Year. I want to say to every one of you...

Can you believe the year of 2014 is almost over; only hours left.
The clock on my wall reads 6:25 p.m.
At the stroke of 12:00 midnight the fire works will be set off and the New Year will begin.

What is all the fuss about?

In the wise Wikipedia, it reads: In the Gregorian calendar, NEW YEAR'S EVE (also known as Old Year's Day or Saint Sylvester's Day in many countries), the last day of the year, is on December 31. In many countries, New Year's Eve is celebrated at evening social gatherings, where many people dance, eat, drink alcoholic beverages, and watch or light fireworks to mark the new year. Some people attend a watchnight service.

The celebrations generally go on past midnight into January 1 (New Year's Day).

Kiribati is the first country to welcome the New Year while Honolulu, Hawaii in the United States of America is among the last.

What will you be doing on this night of nights?

As for me, I will be home watching a lively video, and cuddle down in bed by 10:30 p.m.  The New Year with the the party and fireworks will just have to happen without my being part of it.  But wait a minute...I was given an idea...yes, I am going to take some cheddar cheese and add a spoon or two full of vinegar, ah, the aroma, melt it all together and serve with crunchy soda crackers and enjoy a festive New Year's treat.  Might add a few old fashioned animal crackers. How about that?

Did you know that the string on the box of Barnum's Animals crackers was designed for the purpose of hanging the box on the Christmas tree?

Until the next post, be safe, have fun, and know the Lord loves you and me and all of his children.

Remember: In the New Year aim high and shoot straight.

God Bless the New Year!

News flash:
January 1 is the oneth of the month, see former post.
