TRY IT YOU MIGHT LIKE IT

This title, TRY IT YOU MIGHT LIKE IT, is intriguing.

Another intriguing statement: We are not put on
earth simply to function; we are here to LIVE.

Summer arrives with many possibilities. It is a time where the free spirit inside all of us has no boundaries.  A place where there is no agenda and creativity has no limits, a time to open our minds and savor a new adventure; to really LIVE

Perhaps it is good for the soul to reclaim the spirit of exploration, a sense of wonder and innovation. Maybe it is time to be daring. Try to accomplish something new just for today, or a week, or a month, or take on a long term hobby.

What would you try if you knew you couldn't fail?

Do you really need the reassurance that you will be successful?

I have read the path to transformation starts by becoming an optimist. I like my life, but perhaps developing the sensation of a more optimistic attitude might bring a new form of enjoyment. Am I thinking of adding to an already busy life?  NO! Let's think choice and balance.

  SUGGESTIONS:

Humanitarian Aid ProjectContact a local relief agency and ask how you can help.

Instrument: Ever wanted to play guitar, drums, piano?  Studies show, playing a musical instrument benefits the development of certain parts of the brain; sharpens memory.

Mind Games: Think Sudoku, crossword puzzles, and brain teasers, also board games like (Cranium for one) can whip your wit into tip-top shape and keep it sizzling.

Specialize A Skill:  Enhance your favorite hobby by taking a specialty class. Whether it is metal work, oil painting, gardening, photography, music, or whatever might be your passion.

Exercise:  Move the body!  Consider yoga, tai chi, hiking, biking, swimming, walking, or any kind of movement. Experts say it is good for maintaining good blood flow and encourages new brain cells.

Cuisine: Learning and enjoying cooking is a positive activity.  A collection of healthy recipes is a defense against ill health and fosters confidence and creativity; all ingredients for a healthy brain.

Road Trip: The open road offers miles and miles of learning. Visit national parks, monuments, or historical sights. It does not matter if it is a planned journey or a spontaneous day trip -- just grab a map and hit the road.

Recently a grandson and his family stopped by our home on their way to hike Waterfall Canyon. Enthusiastically they chatted of their upcoming adventure.  However, with two young children,  I wondered if they would make it to the waterfall, but witness the results . . .

 VICTORY!

Congratulations to Benjamin and Blake, with Mom Abby.
Father Eric Wheelwright is taking the picture.

Dear reader, skip, hop, and jump into a new adventure of your own -- try it you might like it.
For me, it's the open road for a spontaneous day trip.  What will be your choice?

Walt Disney stated, "It's kind of fun to do the impossible."

Until the next post, please know the Lord loves us and wants all of us to really LIVE.
